Welcome

Welcome to the website of Stony Stratford Community Church (SSCC). We care about every person who is part of the community here from the age of 0 to 90+. Our church services are relaxed, using modern worship songs usually led by a worship band. The sermons aim to be relevant to our lives today to help us grow in faith and deepen our relationship with God. The Bible, as the Word of God, has always been the central influence in our ministry and we constantly seek the help of the Holy Spirit to help us present the truth of Jesus in a meaningful and effective way. We would love to meet you and invite you to share with us in worshipping God this Sunday at 9:15am, 11:15am or 6:00pm.

If you are on your own or not a regular churchgoer, you may feel nervous about your first visit. So you may prefer to first call Jacqui Green (Senior Minister) or Ross Dilnot (Associate Minister) at the church office who can talk to you further.

We look forward to meeting you.

Swap Shop
» Single Parents MK - Swap Shop

Sunday 14th March 2pm - 4pm

Now this is fun, have you got something to swap? Something old something new? Maybe that dress that you can’t part with because it cost you a packet, but it's two sizes too small, or maybe a nice bag that you think someone will love? We are asking you to bring one or two items that you can carry of course. That you no longer want but you want a good home for. Then hopefully at the end of the day you might go away with something you love! But no pressure if you don’t fancy swapping come and join us and get to know other single parents here in MK. We will also be talking about the biggest swap ever made!! We will be having lunch together again. So bring some yummy food to share. James will be coming to do origami with us too so the children will love that. Phil and Liz will be showing the children how to make balloon cars. Please feel free to contact us and we look forward to seeing you on the day :)

Kampala Childrens Centre
» Uganda Mission Fundraising
In August 2010, the church is coordinating a mission trip to the Kampala Children's Centre in Uganda. There are 28 people going: 18 Adults, 7 Young People & 3 Children. However as a church mission we hope to involve as many people as possible, through prayer, support, raising awareness and help with fundraising.

The Fundraising team have put together a programme which will run over the next 6 months to raise awareness and fundraise in different areas at different times. Download the Uganda Fundraiser flyer for details of all the events happening to help raise money for this trip.

The first event is a concert on Saturday 20th March at 7.30pm. Contact Tash Darling via the church office ASAP if you would like to be involved or get tickets.

Meet the People
Josh Griffith
Josh Griffith

Aged 19.

I have been coming to this church with my family since I was a child, and have got to know the youth in the church really well, both young and old. The youth team are very approachable and they always look out for you. I'm very lucky to know them.

My mum runs the childrens work which is not surprising as she has had to look after my dad for so long.

Everyone is really nice and friendly and you can really feel God's presence at work there.
