We are proud of our history and the people who have served before us and are very much a community church. Our vision as a church is “to grow in our community, developing friendships and be used by God to provide help and support to people in Stony Stratford and the surrounding areas”. The way we do this effectively is through our Mission Shaped Communities (MSCs).
Mission Shaped Communities are the small communities that go towards making up Stony Stratford Community Church as a whole. Each one is involved in a different project that aims to reach out and serve the community in different and relevant ways.
If you would like to get involved in any of these groups please contact the person named directly or through our Associate Pastor, Ross Dilnot via the church office.
Our Mission Shaped Communities currently include …

HOPE
HOPE aims to help the young people put into practice what they are taught in a missional context.
Whilst HOPE runs every other week (please see details on the ‘Children’s & Youth’ page) the projects the group engage with are more sporadic. However, to date these have included a free community carwash, a visit to the local Cub & Scout hut to tidy their gardens and most recently a project to visit the Cub & Scouts and run a prayer workshop.

» Fellowship Tea (third Wednesday of each month)
3:30pm -5:15pm
This is a short time where the elderly members of the community can get together for a time to chat with friends, enjoy a cup of tea and savour the delights of sandwiches and cake. Why not come along yourself or recommend Fellowship Tea to someone you know who you think might enjoy this group. We’d love to see you. For more information please contact Wendy Bowles through the church office.
» Drop In (Thursdays)
12.00pm to 3.30pm
Held weekly in the church hall, Drop In welcomes people of all ages and backgrounds. We provide a two course home-cooked hot lunch followed by tea, coffee and biscuits alongside good conversation, laughter and board games. Transport available.
