Important Information

In light of the current COVID-19 outbreak, the leadership team has been actively monitoring and reviewing advice from the Government and Baptist Union over the last few weeks. As a church we are and will continue to prioritise the health and wellbeing of our church family and especially of those that are most vulnerable.

On Monday 16th March the government clarified the position on large gatherings and identified that churches should suspend meetings.

 

In response to the latest information and guidance here are a few things to let you know:

Sunday Services

With immediate effect – we will no longer be meeting together on a Sunday morning for the foreseeable future. Our priority is the health and wellbeing our of church family and protecting the most vulnerable.

The church leadership are looking into other ways that we can stay connected whilst not all being able to meet on a Sunday in the same physical space.

Regular events and small group meetings

Following advice from the Government and the Baptist Union we are also suspending all regular events and activities across the life of the church, including LifeGroups.

Regular groups such as; Drop In, MaMites, Memory Club, Fellowship Tea, Creative Threads, Table Tennis Club, Friday Prayer Meeting, 635 Club and youth club will all be suspended for the foreseeable future.

Other Events

Other events in the life of the church will also be cancelled. The list below are the current confirmed list of events that will no longer take place.

  • Family Prayer Buddy Evening (Sat 21 Mar)
  • Youth Consultation (Sun 22 Mar)
  • Easter Holiday Club (Sat 28 Mar)
  • Souper Saturday (Sat 28 Mar)
  • Open Church Meeting (Tue 31 Mar)
  • Easter Basket Workshop (Sat 4 Apr)
  • Easter Messy Church (Sat 11 Apr)

Church Office

For the foreseeable future the church office will not be open at the church building. The church answer machine for phone calls and emails will be remain operational during this time. The ministers and facilitator will be working from home as advised by the government. For general information please email office@sscc-mk.org.uk
