Joy to the World Privacy Notice
Under Data Protection legislation the church Charity Trustees of Stony Stratford Community Church are the Data Controller and can be contacted by ringing 01908 567168 or emailing DPO@stonystratfordcommunitychurch.co.uk
We are collecting this information to enable the church to run Joy to the World safely and ensure we can contact you (or other nominated adult) in case of an emergency.
Data Protection legislation allows us to process this information as we regard it as being in the church’s legitimate interest. If you are unable to supply the information requested then we will be unable to accept your child at Joy to the World.
We endeavour to keep all information digitally but in circumstances where a paper copy is required it will be held in a folder which will be kept in a securely locked cupboard in the church office. Only the Ministers and the Joy to the World leaders will have access to this information.
The forms will be destroyed once Joy to the World has finished. If you have ticked the box asking us to keep you informed about future activities we think your child might be interested in attending we will retain your name and email address for the sole purpose of notifying you of such events. We will NOT pass on this information to anyone other than our service providers. You have the right to ask to be removed from this circulation list at any time.
If you are concerned about the way your information is being handled please speak to our Data Protection Officer. If you are still unhappy you have the right to complain to the Information Commissioners Office.
Our service providers
We do not sell or pass any of your personal information to any other organisations and/or individuals without your express consent, with the following exceptions – by providing us with your details you are giving the church your express permission to transfer your data to our service providers including mailing houses, such as ChurchSuite and MailChimp, to enable fulfilment of the purpose for collection. Data submitted using a form on our website is processed and stored by Tsohost.
Where such details are shared we have confidentiality agreements in place that restrict the use of your information to the purpose for which it is provided and ensure it is stored securely and kept no longer than necessary.
SSCC will use the information you provide to send you (the parent/guardian) updates and for marketing purposes where consent has been granted.
You can change your mind at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in the footer of any email you receive from us, or by contacting us at firstname.lastname@example.org. We will treat your information with respect.
