On the second Sunday of the month, instead of meeting for our usual morning service, we go out of the normal “church box”, to be where people are. We do this as a whole church community, participating in various projects that seek to serve people, share with them, and speak the Good News of Jesus.
10.15am Meet at the church building for worship
10.30am Out to projects
12.00pm Return to church building for refreshments
12.15pm Sharing stories of successes and failures!
12.45pm Bring and share lunch
For the bring and share lunch, we keep things simple.
Bring your lunch and something that can be easily shared – crisps, cakes, biscuits, fruit, drink etc.
We join the local Residents Associations to help tidy up the local streets and park areas, whatever the weather! We alternate between Gallery Hill and Fullers Slade.
All ages are welcome for a game of football and a bacon sarnie. 10.45am – 12pm at the Wolverton Recreation Ground.
A team visit the local retirement sheltered housing flats to lead a short service with songs, a talk, prayer and a chat with the residents.
A family friendly activity organised by the kids team. The activity varies from month to month, but usually involves leaving gifts such as flowers or sweets to bless the local community.
Each month there are additional activities which vary, but can include prayer walks, songs in the High Street or meeting people to chat about life in the local Costa!
Families and Sundays Out
There is always a child friendly “Operation Blessing” activity organised by the kids team, but families are welcome to join in most activities.
